The story behind Hisab Expert

I started building Hisab Expert after spending time with shopkeepers in Hyderabad and seeing how they managed their finances - paper notebooks, mental arithmetic, and a constant fear of losing records. These are business owners running shops worth lakhs of rupees, and their entire financial history lives in a book that could be lost to water, fire, or simple wear.

The existing apps did not solve the problem well. Most required internet (unreliable in many areas), read SMS messages (a massive privacy concern), and were designed for a Western market then adapted for India. None of them felt like they were builtby someone who understood the daily reality of running a kirana store, a medical shop, or a hardware business in India.

So I built one. Hisab Expert is offline-first (every feature works without internet), privacy-first (we never read your SMS), and India-first (9 Indian languages, UPI auto-detection, voice entry in natural language). It is built in Hyderabad, for shopkeepers across India.

My goal is simple: give 63 million Indian small businesses the same quality of financial tools that large companies take for granted - without compromising their privacy or requiring them to be online.
