Hyderabad sits at a fascinating crossroads. On one side, the city is home to India's fastest-growing IT corridor - HITEC City, Financial District, Gachibowli - where digital payments are second nature. On the other, centuries-old wholesale markets like Begum Bazaar, Sultan Bazaar, and the labyrinthine lanes around Charminar still operate on handwritten registers and verbal credit agreements. This creates a unique tension: customers increasingly expect UPI and digital receipts, but shopkeepers are stuck reconciling paper with phone notifications manually.

With over 200,000 small retail shops across the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area, the scale of the problem is enormous. The Telangana government's push for GST compliance through the T-Hub initiative and its simplified filing portals has added urgency - shops that once ran entirely on trust and cash now need to track taxable sales, maintain party-wise ledgers, and generate monthly summaries. Many shopkeepers in Koti, Abids, and Ameerpet report spending two to three hours every evening just catching up on the day's accounts.

Hisab Expert was built here, by a founder who grew up watching family members run shops in the Old City. The app was designed from day one to handle the realities of Hyderabad commerce: intermittent internet in basement shops at Begum Bazaar, the need to switch between Telugu, Urdu, and Hindi mid-conversation, and the expectation that accounting software should be as fast as flipping open a bahi-khata.
